🔧 Product Description
Genuine Volvo Penta fitting weighing 0.018 kg. The name is a general one, and no system group and no engine applications are recorded against it, so confirm the number against your engine's own parts list before ordering.
⚙️ Key Features
- 0.018 kg
- No system group recorded against it
- General name with no stated circuit, so order by part number
🔌 Function
Joins a line or hose to a component, holding the connection tight and sealed against the pressure in the circuit.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Weeping, a damp film or dried residue at the joint
- Threads stretched, crossed or picked up so the fitting will not pull up tight
- Sealing face scored, nicked or pitted
- Corrosion or seizure where the fitting screws into its housing
- Fitting working loose in service and needing repeated tightening
🛠️ Service Notes
- Renew the sealing washer or O-ring with the fitting rather than reusing the old one
- Check the thread in the component the fitting screws into before assembly, since a damaged female thread will ruin a new fitting immediately
📦 Condition
- Genuine Volvo Penta part
- Brand new
- Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
