⚙️ Key Features

  • Plug from the Lubricating and Oil System group
  • 0.049 kg
  • Listed for 68 applications across D and TAD series engines
  • Supersedes 22316718

🔌 Function

Closes off a drilling or port in the oil system, sealing the passage against pressure where no fitting is required.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Oil weeping or dripping from around the plug
  • Plug found loose or backed out
  • Sealing washer flattened, split or missing
  • Hex or socket head rounded off by over-tightening
  • Thread damaged or pulled in the housing

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Fit a new sealing washer with the plug rather than reusing the old one
  • Tighten to the specified figure - an over-tightened plug pulls the thread out of an alloy housing
