- Soot tracks at the manifold-to-head faces or between sections
- Cracks between ports or around a flange
- Studs seized, corroded, or sheared off
- Manifold face distorted so a new gasket will not seal
🛠️ Service Notes
- Check the manifold face for bow and the studs for stretch before assembly - a warped face is why the last gasket blew
- Renew the manifold gaskets and nuts, and use anti-seize on the studs
