🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta exhaust pipe weighing 6.27 kg. It supersedes part number 3581549 and covers its 22 applications across TAMD, TMD, AD, KAMD and KAD series engines.

⚙️ Key Features

  • Exhaust pipe
  • 6.27 kg
  • Supersedes 3581549
  • Covers the 22 applications of the number it replaces across TAMD, TMD, AD, KAMD and KAD series engines

🔌 Function

Carries the exhaust gas away from the engine along a formed route, taking the heat and the pulsing pressure of the exhaust.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Soot deposits or black staining at a flange
  • Puffing or hissing from the engine bay that changes with load
  • Exhaust fumes noticeable in the engine space
  • Pipe found holed or split, usually where water has lain in it
  • Flange face corroded or the studs seized on removal

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Renew the flange gaskets and lagging where fitted, and check the alignment before pulling the joints up
  • Look for internal corrosion at the low points, as pipework in a wet exhaust rots from the inside
