🔧 Product Description
Genuine Volvo Penta power take-off, superseding part number 21734307 and covering its applications.
⚙️ Key Features
- Power take-off unit
- Supersedes 21734307 and covers its applications
🔌 Function
Takes drive from the engine and presents it at a separate output, so a pump or other auxiliary can be driven directly from the engine.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Whine, growl or rattle from the take-off that follows engine speed
- Oil leak at the housing joint or the output shaft seal
- Driven equipment turning slowly or not at all
- Play or roughness felt at the output shaft by hand
- Gear teeth or bearings found chipped and worn on strip-down
🛠️ Service Notes
- Check the driven equipment and the coupling before condemning the take-off, since a seized auxiliary is what usually destroys one
- Renew the shaft seal and mounting gasket whenever the unit is removed
