24071742 Exhaust Pipe | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta exhaust pipe from the Inlet and Exhaust System group, weighing 7.149 kg. No engine applications are recorded against it, so match the number to your engine's own parts list before ordering, since exhaust pipework is shaped to one installation and will not adapt to another.

⚙️ Key Features

• Inlet and Exhaust System component
• 7.149 kg
• Shaped to a specific installation, so order by part number
• No recorded engine applications, so order by part number

🔌 Function

Carries exhaust gas away from the engine to the next stage of the exhaust system, containing the gas and its heat along the way.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Soot staining, a black smudge or a rusty weep at a joint or flange
• A ticking or puffing noise from the pipe that rises with engine speed
• Exhaust smell in the engine compartment or the accommodation
• Rust blistering, scaling or a perforation through the pipe wall
• Flange face corroded or distorted so the joint will not pull up tight

🛠️ Service Notes

• An exhaust leak in an enclosed engine space puts carbon monoxide where people are, so treat any smell, staining or noise from the pipework as urgent and do not run the engine with a suspect joint
• Renew the flange gaskets and, where fitted, the exhaust fixings rather than reusing them, and check the mating flange for distortion
• Support the pipe on its own mountings so its 7.149 kg is not hung off the manifold or the next component in the run

📦 Condition

• Genuine Volvo Penta part

• Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
