⚙️ Key Features

• Engine lifting eye
• 1.442 kg
• Listed for four TAD series engine applications
• Supersedes 21564284

🔌 Function

Provides the attachment point for slinging the engine, taking the lifted load through a single bolted lug.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Eye visibly bent, opened out or no longer round
• A groove or bright rubbed mark where a sling has cut into the eye
• Cracking around the eye or at its mounting boss
• Mounting holes elongated, or the fixing found loose
• Heavy pitting and corrosion reducing the section

🛠️ Service Notes

• A lifting eye is load-bearing - any distortion, cracking or wear means renewal, never straightening or welding
• Use the lifting arrangement the workshop manual specifies; a single eye is not rated to take the whole engine unless the manual says so
• Renew the mounting bolts and tighten them to the specified torque before any lift
