⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Key has to be jiggled or held hard over to get a crank
• Nothing at all in the start position although the panel lights work
• Engine cutting out as the key springs back to the run position
• A hot switch body or a burning smell from behind the panel
• Barrel worn so the key turns slack, or contacts found burnt inside

• Label the terminals before disconnecting - a mis-wired start switch can crank the engine unexpectedly
