⚙️ Key Features

  • Power take-off unit for TAD and TADH series engines
  • 3.14 kg
  • Supersedes 23253274
  • Listed for 16 applications

🔌 Function

Takes drive from the engine and passes it to an auxiliary unit such as a pump or compressor, so equipment can be run from the engine rather than from a separate motor.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Whine, growl or rattle from the take-off housing that follows engine speed
  • Oil weeping from the mounting face or the output shaft seal
  • Play felt at the output shaft or coupling when the engine is stopped
  • Driven equipment losing drive, slipping or delivering less than it should
  • Bearings, gear teeth or splines found worn or pitted on strip-down

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Check the alignment and the condition of the driven equipment and its coupling before condemning the take-off - a misaligned or seized driven unit is what kills these
  • Renew the mounting gasket and shaft seal whenever the unit comes off
  • Replaces 23253274, so the earlier reference on an older parts list points here
