Carries coolant between two points in the cooling circuit, flexing to absorb the movement between the components it joins.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Drips, crusting or a coloured stain at the hose ends
- Hose soft and spongy, or hard and cracked, when squeezed cold
- Hose collapsing under suction, so flow drops and temperature climbs
- Coolant loss with no other leak found
- Cover chafed through where the hose touches a bracket or clip

- Check the routing and clearance while the hose is off, since chafe ends more hoses than age does
