A genuine Volvo Penta and Bosch solenoid control valve for selected D4 and D6 common-rail marine diesel engines.

The valve mounts to the low-pressure inlet side of the high-pressure fuel pump. The engine control module pulse-width modulates the solenoid to regulate how much fuel enters the pumping chambers and therefore controls common-rail pressure.

🔌 Function

The valve meters fuel entering the high-pressure pump. By adjusting the valve duty cycle, the engine control unit raises or lowers rail pressure to suit starting, idle, acceleration and full-load operation.
