⚙️ Key Features

• Steering yoke from the Marine Propulsion group
• 2.093 kg
• Supersedes 873183
• Covers 95 applications across AD, D, AQ, TMD, B and BB series engines and drives
• Also supersedes Volvo part numbers 875845 and 876150

🔌 Function

Connects the steering linkage to the drive, passing the helm's movement into the drive unit so the boat turns.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Play or slop at the helm before the drive answers
• Knocking or clunking as the wheel is reversed
• Steering that pulls to one side or feels notchy
• Wear or ovality in the pivot bores and pins
• Corrosion pitting or cracks around the pivot eyes found on removal

🛠️ Service Notes

• This yoke is for the A-series drives - 290, 290A, 290DP, SP-A, SP-A1, SP-A2, DP-A, DP-A1, DP-A2 and DP-B. Read the series off the drive or transom shield plate before ordering, or match the number stamped on the old part: 873183, 854066 and 852950 all become this one
• The companion yoke 24178099 covers the other drive generation and looks near-identical - the published weights are 27 grams apart and cannot be used to tell them apart, so identify by drive series, never by weight
• Steering is safety related - renew the pins, bushes and locking hardware with the yoke and check the linkage end to end
• Yoke 24178099 is the alternative in this group and sits within 27 grams, so order by part number rather than weight
