⚙️ Key Features

• 2.533 kg
• Supersedes 855389, catalogued earlier as an absorber and as a flywheel part
• Covers 87 applications across MD, TMD, AQ, TAMD, AQAD and AD series engines
• Within 38 grams of coupling 24212254, so order by part number

🔌 Function

Couples the engine to the drive line while absorbing torsional shock, taking up the firing pulses and small misalignments that would otherwise be fed into the gears.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Knocking or rattling from the bellhousing, loudest at idle
• Vibration that comes in with load rather than with revs
• Rubber dust or crumbs of element in the bellhousing
• Element rubber perished, split or oil-soaked on strip-down
• Drive teeth or splines worn where the element has lost its grip

🛠️ Service Notes

• The old number was catalogued both as an absorber and as a flywheel part, so check what the engine actually has fitted before ordering
• Correct engine alignment and mount condition first - a coupling that has failed early has usually been asked to take up misalignment
