⚙️ Key Features

• Seawater pump from the Cooling System group
• 5.449 kg
• Supersedes 23002155
• Listed for ten D series engine applications
• The largest of the three seawater pumps in this run

🔌 Function

Provides the raw water flow for the cooling circuit, drawing from the seacock and pushing through the heat exchanger and out with the exhaust.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Reduced or absent water flow at the exhaust
• Engine running hot under load but cool at idle
• Salt crystals or drips at the weep hole under the pump
• Impeller worn, set or with vanes missing on strip-down
• Bearings rough or the seal weeping into the pump body

🛠️ Service Notes

• Confirm suction-side condition first - a blocked strainer or collapsed hose gives the same symptoms as a worn pump
• Fit a new impeller and seals as part of the change and recover any broken vanes from downstream
