24254007 Power Cable | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta power cable from the Cables and Fuses group, with a published weight of 6.331 kg. No length, cross-section, terminal size or engine application is published against it, so the full part number is the only reliable way to order — a power cable that is close but not right is a cable that will not reach, or will not land on the terminals it has to.

⚙️ Key Features

• 6.331 kg
• Cables and Fuses group
• No published length, cross-section or terminal size
• Order strictly by part number and confirm the routing before fitting

🔌 Function

Carries heavy current between the battery, isolator and the starting or charging equipment it serves.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Slow or reluctant cranking that improves when the terminals are cleaned
• Cable ends or terminals discoloured, corroded or showing green or white deposits
• The cable warm to the touch after cranking or heavy charging
• Insulation chafed, cracked or hardened, especially where it passes a bulkhead
• Voltage lost across the cable under load compared with the battery reading

🛠️ Service Notes

• Isolate the battery before disconnecting either end, and cover the loose end so it cannot touch anything while the work is done
• Renew or clean the terminals and lugs the cable lands on rather than reusing corroded ones
• No length is published against this number, so check the routing against the old cable before cutting the old one away
