🔌 Function

Seals the joints it is fitted to, holding fluid or gas at the face and taking up the small differences between the two parts it sits between.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Weeping, dripping or staining at the joint
  • Level or pressure falling between services

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Check the engine plate: this kit covers engines from serial number 2016176102 onwards
  • Clean the groove and the mating face, and lubricate the ring lightly so it seats without twisting
