• Weatherproof the connector properly; water in the coax is a common cause of poor signal
• For Autopilot use this must be the latest version of the antenna, paired with a Volvo Penta Glass Cockpit and the Autopilot licence for your engine type and engine count
• Retrofit prerequisite: the installation also needs Dynamic Positioning System (DPS) software and Assisted Docking software, plus optional Thruster Integration software where a proportional controlled electric bow thruster from Sleipner is used
• Retrofit prerequisite: a joystick (standard or heavy duty) and a Volvo Penta Glass Cockpit screen of 7 inches or larger must also be present
• All widescreen Glass Cockpit MFDs are supported after a software upgrade from Garmin's support website; the 8000 series in 4:3 format is not supported
• Assisted Docking should not be installed on boats where the Volvo Penta EVC system has been modified or connected to without authorisation, or where components or interfaces not sold or approved by Volvo Penta are in use
