• Fit new gaskets, O-rings and sealing washers on the mounting, oil and air connections, and make sure the oil feed and return lines are clean and clear before connecting them
• Clean or renew the air side downstream as required — a compressor that has been passing oil will have contaminated the delivery line, the dryer and the receiver, and that contamination will come back to bite the new unit
• Check the compressor's air inlet supply is clean, drain condensate from the receiver, and after fitting run the system up and confirm it builds and holds pressure, checking all joints for air and oil leaks
