It meets the API CK-4 / CJ-4 Plus / CI-4 / ECF-3 and ACEA E9 / E7 specifications and is catalogued under the earlier 23039851 reference. It is formulated for improved engine cleanliness and protection against piston deposits, and is fully backward compatible with engines previously run on VDS-2, VDS-3 or VDS-4 oil, so no system flush is needed when stepping up to this specification.
