Genuine Quicksilver Lower Water Pump Seal - Part Number: 26-161681
A genuine Quicksilver lower water-pump and pump-liner seal for selected Mercury and Mariner 25HP and 30HP outboards.
The seal is installed within the lower gear housing around the water-pump or jet-pump assembly. It helps direct cooling water through the pump while separating the pump cavity from adjacent lower-unit areas.

🔌 Function
The seal closes the designated joint within the water-pump or pump-liner housing. It helps the impeller draw and pressurise cooling water without excessive leakage around the lower pump assembly.
Common signs of failure:

• Engine overheating after water-pump service
• Reduced Jet pump cooling performance
• Seal distorted, split or displaced during assembly
• Corrosion or debris preventing the seal from seating correctly
