⚙️ Key Features

  • 56.0 kg
  • 28 TAD series engine applications

🔌 Function

Cools the compressed air leaving the turbocharger before it enters the cylinders.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Charge air temperature above specification, showing as power derate
  • Boost leak from a cracked matrix or end tank
  • Oil pooling inside from turbocharger seal wear
  • Fins blocked or damaged, reducing airflow
  • Internal corrosion or fouling

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Oil found inside the cooler points at the turbocharger, not the cooler
  • Flush the cooler out if the turbocharger has failed - debris left inside will destroy the new turbo
  • At 56 kg this needs lifting equipment and support while the joints are made

📦 Condition

  • Genuine Volvo Penta part
