Genuine Volvo Penta Sea Water Filter Strainer Basket - Part Number: 3583341

A genuine used Volvo Penta removable strainer basket fitted inside the engine-mounted seawater filter assembly on selected D4, D6 and IPS installations.

The perforated basket traps weed, shell fragments and other debris before raw water reaches the seawater pump, heat exchanger, oil coolers and exhaust-cooling circuit. It is removed for inspection and cleaning through the filter cover.

🔌 Function

The strainer catches solid contamination in the incoming seawater before it can damage the impeller or restrict the heat exchanger and cooler cores.
