  • 17 applications across D and MS series

🔌 Function

Provides the matched pair of gears that transmit drive at the 2.47:1 ratio.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Whine from the gear train varying with speed
  • Tooth flank pitting, spalling or chipping
  • Excessive backlash
  • Metallic debris on the magnetic drain plug
  • Chipped or broken teeth

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Ratio is the selection detail — gear set 3583363 is the 2.19:1 alternative and only 50 grams heavier
  • Read the ratio from the gearbox plate rather than guessing; the wrong ratio will overload or underload the engine
  • Gears come as a matched set — never mix a new gear with a worn partner
