⚙️ Key Features

  • 0.0068 kg
  • 18 D series engine applications

🔌 Function

Seals a cored or machined hole in the casting by expanding into it.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Weeping or a wet patch at the plug
  • Plug corroded, pitted or bulging
  • Plug pushed proud or loose in its bore
  • Staining or a salt trail below the plug

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Three expansion plugs run through this range — 3583579 at 0.0068 kg, 3583696 at 0.0091 kg and 3583697 at 0.032 kg — and bore diameter decides which, so order by part number
  • Clean the bore before fitting; a plug driven into a corroded bore will weep again

📦 Condition

  • Genuine Volvo Penta part
  • Brand new
  • Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
