Carries the folding blades and transmits the drive from the propeller shaft to them.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Blades slack or not folding cleanly
• Hub bore or keyway worn
• Corrosion between hub and shaft
• Vibration under way from a poorly seated taper
• Hub working loose on the shaft

🛠️ Service Notes

• SAE hubs use a 1:16 taper against 1:10 on the metric hubs 3583928, 3583929, 3583930 and 3584137 - the tapers are not interchangeable even where the diameter looks close
• The larger SAE hub is 3583932 for a 1 1/2 inch shaft
• Blade kits 3583917 to 3583926 are a separate order, and the nut and key are not supplied in this kit
• For a complete propeller, order one blade kit and one hub kit.
• Propeller size has to be calculated to match engine and gear ratio - contact your Volvo Penta dealer.
