⚙️ Key Features
- With high altitude sensor
- Supplied with software
- 1.674 kg
- Supersedes 20593218
- 22 applications across the TD and TAD series
🔌 Function
Reads the engine sensors and controls fuelling and engine protection from what they tell it.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Engine will not start, or cuts out, with no fuel or air fault to be found
- Warning lamps and fault codes naming the control unit
- Erratic running or a sudden drop into a limited operating mode
- Communication lost with the instruments or the diagnostic tool
- Corrosion or water in the connector
🛠️ Service Notes
- Control unit 3586271 is the version without the high altitude sensor - identical 1.674 kg and the same 22 applications, so the sensor is the only thing separating them and it must match the engine
- Check power, earths and connector pins before condemning a control unit
- Warehouse programming for TAD engines is invoiced separately in this range, so confirm what the unit needs before fitting
