Passes engine heat from the closed coolant circuit into the raw water flowing through it.

- Coolant temperature running high, especially under load
- Coolant loss with no external leak, or oil film in the header tank
- Raw water discharge reduced or intermittent
- Tube stack silted, scaled or blocked with impeller debris
- Corrosion or pinholing where raw water meets the end covers
🛠️ Service Notes
- This is the only D series exchanger among the four here - 3586704, 3586705 and 3586706 cover TMD, AD, TAMD, KAD and KAMD engines - so weight is not the guide, the engine designation is
- Renew the end cover seals and check the anodes on fitting
- Clear the strainer and fit a new impeller before running up
