  • Replace mountings as a full set - one new mount among three tired ones throws the alignment out and fails early
  • Recheck shaft alignment after fitting, and again after a few hours running once the new rubber has settled
  • Keep oil and fuel off the rubber; a soaked mount collapses long before its time
