⚙️ Key Features

• Later production
• 9 g
• Supersedes 3852561 and 3852563, catalogued earlier as an adjusting washer and a pressure plate
• 8 applications across DP and SX series

🔌 Function

Sets the stack height and spreads the clamping load across the assembly it sits in.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Play, rattle or knocking in the assembly the plate sets
• Plate dished, cracked or worn bright on one face
• Fretting marks on the parts either side
• Clamping load lost, letting the stack move
• Debris or metal glitter in the assembly on strip-down

🛠️ Service Notes

• Plate 3589524 is the other later-production plate for the same 8 DP and SX applications, at 18 g - twice this weight, so the weight is the practical way to tell them apart
• Both plates list 3852563 among the numbers they replace, so if your parts list calls for 3852563 check the thickness of what you removed before choosing between 3589522 and 3589524
• Fit only later-production parts together as a set, and measure the stack on assembly
