• On DPH and DPR this kit is needed as well as the sensor kit for the instrument to work; conventional steering takes sensor kit 3809099 instead, and IPS or electronic steering needs neither
• Calibrate the indicator to centre and to both hard-over positions after fitting
• Check the linkage and the earth before condemning the sender — a loose arm gives the same symptoms
• Not needed for IPS, or for Aquamatic and inboard installations with electronic steering
