🔌 Function

Clamps the rubber exhaust hose onto its spigots so the joint stays gas-tight and water-tight.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Water or soot weeping at a hose end
• Clip band stretched, distorted or slack
• Screw thread or drive head corroded and seized
• Band cutting into the hose wall
• Rust streaks running down from the clip

🛠️ Service Notes

• Renew the clips whenever the exhaust hose is disturbed, as a reused clip rarely pulls back to the same clamping force
• The neighbouring sizes are 3817828 for the 127 mm hose and 21609813 for the 205 mm hose, so order against the hose number
• Set the clips clear of the hose bead and retighten after the first warm-up
