🔌 Function
The sensor generates a signal as the crankshaft pulser passes its sensing element.
The ECM uses this signal for ignition timing, fuel-injection timing, engine-speed calculation and starting control.
Common signs of failure:
• Engine cranks but will not start
• Intermittent stalling
• Loss of ignition or injector command
• Tachometer signal is erratic
• Crankshaft-position fault code
• Engine stops when warm
• Damaged connector or wiring
• Metal contamination on the sensor tip
• Incorrect sensor clearance
Recommended checks before installation:
• Confirm the connector and wire length
• Inspect the pulser plate
• Check the sensor air gap
• Test supply, ground and signal circuits
• Inspect the harness for chafing
• Clear fault codes and verify engine-speed data after installation
📦 Condition
• Genuine Honda used part
• Pre-owned electronic sensor
• Cosmetic marks and connector wear may be present
• Electrical testing before installation is recommended
• Supplied in protective or equivalent packaging
