Replacing an entire engine is often ineffective and unnecessary, so the Volvo Penta IPS Reman offer lets you replace only the part that needs it. It comes in three pieces - Reman Upper Gear, Reman Lower Gear and the Reman Drive Unit - supplied without the steering unit, since that rarely needs replacing. Volvo Penta IPS Reman components are tested within the same quality performance program as a new Volvo Penta IPS unit.

🔌 Function

Takes the drive from the engine and delivers it to the propellers, carrying the gear sets, shafts and bearings in one housing.

• Water or metal in the drained gear oil
• Vibration through the hull at cruising revs
• Stiffness or play when the propeller shaft is turned by hand
• Oil weeping from the housing joints or shaft seals

• The program allows the worn component to be returned once the new component is installed and the engine is running again, so the boat is not held up waiting for the exchange
• Reman components are covered by the Volvo Penta 12-month standard warranty, or 24 months when fitted by an authorised Volvo Penta dealer
