Genuine Volvo Penta remanufactured turbocharger for the TAD880VE to TAD884VE range, weighing 18.9 kg and covering four application groups across the TAD880GE, TAD880VE, TADH880GE and TADH880VE families. Reman components are restored to technically new condition, with wear parts and anything outside tolerance replaced by new genuine parts, built to a bill of material carrying all design changes so the unit meets the latest technical specification, then tested and painted before despatch. This is an exchange item: core deposit 3804834 is charged alongside it and refunded as soon as the worn turbocharger is returned, and the core can go back once the new one is fitted and the engine is running again.

- Whistling, siren or grinding noise that changes with boost
- Blue smoke and oil consumption with no other explanation
- Boost pressure down, with sluggish acceleration and black smoke under load
- Oil weeping from the compressor or turbine housing joints
- Shaft play, rubbed compressor wheel or damaged blades found on inspection

- Find and fix the cause before fitting - oil feed and drain lines clear, air filter serviceable, and prime the new unit with oil before start-up
- Check the charge air cooler and pipework for debris from the failed unit
- Core deposit 3804834 is charged with this order and refunded when the worn turbocharger goes back - the return can wait until the new one is fitted and the engine is running again
