Volvo Penta rebuilds the returned core against the current bill of material, replacing wear parts and anything failing the reman criteria with new genuine parts, then tests and paints the finished unit. It is supplied on exchange: core deposit 3805033 is charged alongside it and refunded once the worn turbo is returned, and the core may go back after the new one is fitted and the engine is running again.
