3803717 Injection Pump | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta remanufactured injection pump weighing 17.3 kg and listed for one application in the TAD series - the reman catalogue lists this number against TAD730V. It consolidates 3825268 and 865560, which were catalogued earlier as an injection pump and a governor, so the governor now comes as part of the pump rather than as a separate order. 3803730 at 17.5 kg is only 156 grams away, so the TAD730V listing and the superseded numbers are what place this one. Supplied on exchange: core deposit 3806717 is charged alongside it and refunded once the old pump is returned.

🔌 Function

Raises fuel to injection pressure and meters the right quantity to each cylinder in firing order, setting the engine's power and speed.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Hard starting, or long cranking before it fires
• Power down, with a flat spot as the throttle is opened
• Black smoke and uneven running at idle
• Engine speed hunting or surging
• Diesel weeping from the pump body or the drive-end seal

🛠️ Service Notes

• The governor is part of this assembly, so do not order one separately against the old numbers
• 3803730 is within 156 grams but covers the TWD and TD engines, so match the designation rather than the weight
• Have the pump timed and its fuel settings checked on fitting; core deposit 3806717 is refunded when the core goes back
