3804141 Turbocharger Core | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Core deposit for an exchange turbocharger, listed under the Inlet and Exhaust System group. The line holds the refundable charge on the worn turbocharger returned at the end of the exchange; ordering it alone supplies nothing to fit. Under Volvo Penta's core numbering it pairs with part 3801141.

⚙️ Key Features

• Refundable core deposit, not a fitted part
• Pairs with part 3801141
• Inlet and Exhaust System group

🔌 Function

Carries the refundable core charge on an exchange turbocharger; the turbocharger it covers uses exhaust energy to drive a compressor, raising the density of the air going into the cylinders.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• This is a deposit line and has nothing to fail in itself; the signs below are what normally condemns the turbocharger being exchanged
• Blue smoke and oil use rising with nothing leaking outside the engine
• A rising whine or metallic rattle as boost builds
• Flat performance with black smoke and low boost
• Play at the shaft and oil found in the inlet ducting

🛠️ Service Notes

• The deposit is refunded when the old turbocharger is returned; ordering this line on its own supplies no part
• Return the turbocharger with its wheels and housings intact and the ports blanked, since a damaged or dismantled core can reduce or void the refund
• Renew the oil feed pipe if it is coked, as a restricted feed is the usual cause of a second failure

📦 Condition

• Refundable core deposit - not a physical part
