3804233 Cylinder Head Core | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Core deposit for an exchange cylinder head, listed under the Engine group at 110 kg. It carries the refundable charge on the worn head returned at the end of the exchange rather than shipping a component. Under Volvo Penta's core numbering it pairs with part 3801233. At 110 kg it is a hoist job rather than a lift, and it sits within 6 kg of core 3804256 at 115.665 kg, so the numbers must decide which line applies.

⚙️ Key Features

• Refundable core deposit, not a fitted part
• Pairs with part 3801233
• 110 kg
• Within 6 kg of core 3804256, so order by number

🔌 Function

Carries the refundable core charge on an exchange cylinder head; the head it covers closes the cylinders, carries the valves and injectors, and forms the combustion chambers.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• This is a deposit line and has nothing to fail in itself; the signs below are what normally condemns the cylinder head being exchanged
• Coolant disappearing with no external leak, or pressure building in the header tank
• White smoke once warm with a sweet exhaust smell
• Compression low on adjacent cylinders with a misfire under load
• Cracks between valve seats or into an injector bore found on strip

🛠️ Service Notes

• The deposit is refunded when the old cylinder head is returned; ordering this line on its own supplies no part
• Return the head complete with its valves and studs and the faces protected, since a stripped or damaged core can reduce or void the refund
• At 110 kg use lifting eyes and a hoist to remove and crate the head, and lay it on its side rather than on the gasket face

📦 Condition

• Refundable core deposit - not a physical part
