3804392 Unit Injector Core | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

This is the unit injector core deposit from the Fuel System group. It is the refundable charge on the unit injector you return when buying the exchange unit, and it ships nothing on its own. It pairs with part 3801392, and that is the number that supplies the unit injector itself. The row carries a recorded weight of 1.18 kg. Unit injector deposit 3804263 is recorded within a gram of this one at 1.179 kg, so weight is no guide between them - order by part number.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• This is a deposit line and has nothing to fail in itself; the signs below are what normally condemns the unit injector being exchanged
• Nozzle tip coked or eroded and the spray pattern broken up
• Fuel found in the oil, or the rocker cover area wet where the unit seals into the head
• One cylinder misfiring, with a sharper knock from that position than the others
• Hard starting from cold and smoke that thins out as the engine warms

🛠️ Service Notes

• The charge on this line is refunded on return of the old unit injector.
• Ordering this number on its own supplies no part - the unit injector comes from its paired line, part 3801392.
• Confirm the unit against the paired part number rather than the recorded weight, which is all but identical across both rows.

📦 Condition

• Refundable core deposit - not a physical part
