⚙️ Key Features

  • 0.027 kg
  • 6 applications on D series engines

🔌 Function

Transfers the pushrod's motion to the valve, opening it against its spring.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Tapping or ticking from under the valve cover
  • Pad or tip worn hollow, pitted or scored
  • Play between the arm and its shaft
  • Adjuster seized or its thread damaged
  • Clearances that will not stay in adjustment

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Rocker arm 3809638 shares the same 6 applications and is the other arm of the pair; its published weight of 4.5 g is clearly wrong, so identify the two by part number rather than by weight
  • Check rocker arm shaft 3809635 for wear flats at the same time and reset the valve clearances after fitting

📦 Condition

  • Genuine Volvo Penta part
  • Brand new
  • Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
