⚙️ Key Features

• 20.77 kg
• 12 applications on D series engines

🔌 Function

Uses exhaust energy to drive a compressor that raises the inlet air pressure, so the engine can burn more fuel for the same swept volume.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Loss of power and heavy black smoke under load
• Whine, siren note or rattle from the turbocharger
• Blue smoke and oil consumption with oil in the inlet
• Shaft play felt by hand, or blades touching the housing
• Oil weeping at the turbocharger oil connections

🛠️ Service Notes

• At 20.77 kg this is heavy to lift into place on an exhaust flange — plan the support before starting
• Find why the old unit failed: blocked oil feed, a dirty air filter or debris through the turbine will destroy a new one quickly
• Prime the oil feed before starting, use new gaskets and nuts on the exhaust flange, and let the engine idle before load
