Genuine Volvo Penta three-blade aluminium single propeller for SX Aquamatic sterndrives. With its wide and efficient blade design this propeller offers excellent acceleration and top speed. The state-of-the-art squeeze casting process together with a special high strength aluminium alloy makes it stronger and more durable than traditional die-cast propellers, and four layers of paint ensure excellent anti-corrosion performance. This propeller is the 14.2 inch diameter x 23 inch pitchsize, right hand rotation.

Converts engine torque into thrust, with diameter and pitch setting the load the engine sees at full throttle.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Vibration or a thumping felt through the hull at speed
• Blade edges chipped, curled or bent
• Engine over-revving or falling short of its rated revs
• Hub slipping, so revs rise without the boat gaining speed
• Corrosion pitting and lost paint on the blade faces

🛠️ Service Notes

• A high pitch will hold revs down, so check the engine still reaches its rated revs at full throttle after fitting
• The 21 inch pitch propeller 3817469 is only 22 grams heavier, so order on pitch, not weight
• Renew the propeller nut hardware and check the shaft splines and thrust washer while the propeller is off
• Installation hardware for the 3 and 4-blade propellers for the SX drive: split pin 3852056, propeller nut 3850984, spacer 3852350 and thrust washer 3852020.
• Precise balancing gives minimal vibrations, quiet and comfortable operation, and is essential for efficiency and for minimizing wear on the drivetrain.
