⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Diesel weeping or smelling around the union
  • Air drawn into the fuel side, giving rough running or hard starting
  • Sealing face nicked, scored or coned by over-tightening
  • Threads stretched, crossed or seized

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Fit with a new sealing washer or o-ring where one is used, and tighten to seal rather than to force
  • Once a sealing face has been coned by over-tightening it will not seal again, so renew the nipple rather than nipping it up harder
