- It belongs with flange 3825050 and sealing ring 3825051, all three sharing the same serial break, fitment and superseded numbers, so renew the ring whenever the cock is disturbed
- A cock that will not seal when closed has lost its seat, so renew rather than rework it
- Support the housing when freeing a seized cock, since a snapped body left in the casting is a far bigger job
