🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta overflow valve for the Fuel System, for a pump without helicoil, with an M16 thread, weighing 0.075 kg and covering 100 applications across TD, TAMD, TWD, TID, TMD and TAD series engines. It supersedes part number 35096, which was catalogued at different times as a valve peg, a bushing and a compression spring, so what were loose pieces now come as one assembled valve.

🚤 Compatibility

  • Engine Family: TD, TAMD, TWD, TID, TMD, TAD

Full model list at the end of this description.

⚙️ Key Features

  • For a pump without helicoil
  • M16 thread
  • 0.075 kg
  • Supersedes 35096, previously listed as a valve peg, bushing and compression spring
  • 100 applications across six engine series

🔌 Function

Holds the fuel gallery to its set pressure by spilling the surplus back to tank once that pressure is reached.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Hard starting or a long crank after standing
  • Rough running, hunting or a power loss under load
  • Fuel return flow noticeably low or absent
  • Diesel weeping at the valve body or its seal
  • Valve found stuck, gummed or with a broken spring on strip-down

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Check the pump before ordering: this valve is for a pump without helicoil and has an M16 thread, so both need to match
  • Because it now replaces what were three separate items, do not expect the old loose peg, bushing and spring to be supplied separately
  • Renew the sealing washer, and bleed the fuel system properly after fitting
