3826243 Flexible Coupling | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta flexible coupling from the Engine group, weighing 6.42 kg and listed for 2 TAMD series applications. It consolidates three earlier numbers, 3827193, 853887 and 866628, which were catalogued before as a vibration damper and two clutches, so all three now resolve to this one coupling.

🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

• Volvo Penta TAMD63L-A
• Volvo Penta TAMD63P-A

• Engine Family: TAMD

⚙️ Key Features

• 6.42 kg
• Consolidates 3827193, 853887 and 866628
• The earlier numbers were listed as a vibration damper and two clutches
• 2 TAMD series applications
• Also supersedes Volvo part number 866028

🔌 Function

Transmits drive between two shafts while absorbing torsional shock and small misalignments.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Knocking or clonking at idle and when taking up drive
• A rubbery smell or black dust around the coupling
• Vibration that comes and goes with engine speed
• Elastic element cracked, perished or parting from its metal
• Bolt holes elongated and the fixings found loose

🛠️ Service Notes

• Because three earlier numbers now point here, cross-check the old number on the removed part before assuming it is wrong
• Check shaft alignment when fitting, as a flexible coupling absorbs misalignment but is destroyed by it
• Vibration damper 3826416 is a separate heavier part and not an alternative to this coupling
