⚙️ Key Features
- 15.377 kg
- 5 applications across TWD, TAD and TAMD engines
- Fan shroud and guard
🔌 Function
Ducts the air the fan moves so it passes through the radiator core instead of spilling around it, and guards the rotating fan.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Coolant temperature high at low road or boat speed while fine at high speed
- Fan tips rubbing or scoring the shroud
- Shroud cracked, distorted or with mounting tabs broken away
- Air recirculating and warm air felt at the radiator face
- Buzzing or drumming from a loose shroud
🛠️ Service Notes
- Check the fan-to-shroud clearance all round after fitting - a rubbing fan destroys both parts
- Two more fan shrouds sit in this range, 3827830 at 17.75 kg and 3827831 at 20.25 kg, so use weight and the engine family to tell them apart
