Screens the cooling pack, keeping debris out of the radiator core and hands out of the fan.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Screen clogged with chaff, leaves or insects, and coolant temperature climbing with it
  • Mesh torn, dented or pushed in against the core
  • Frame cracked or bent, leaving a gap debris can pass through
  • Rattling from the cooling pack when running
  • Radiator fins found bent or blocked behind a damaged screen

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Clean the screen and the radiator face together — a clean screen in front of a blocked core will still overheat the engine
  • Fan guard 3829660 at 0.234 kg and fan shroud 3829341 at 10.625 kg are the other guarding items in this group; they are very different sizes, so check what you are actually replacing
  • Never run the engine with cooling pack guarding removed
