🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta brace from the Cooling System group, listed for 1 application on a TWD series engine. The published weight of 14 grams is very low for a bracing member, so treat it with caution and order by part number rather than by weight.

🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

  • Volvo Penta TWD1240VE
  • Engine Family: TWD

⚙️ Key Features

  • 1 TWD series application
  • Cooling System brace
  • Published weight of 14 g is unusually low for a brace — identify by number

🔌 Function

Braces a cooling system component against a second mounting point, stiffening the assembly against vibration.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Cracks at the bolt holes or at a weld
  • The component it braces vibrating or moving visibly
  • Brace bent, buckled or stretched at the fixings
  • Fixings repeatedly working loose

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Fit the brace last and without preload — forcing it into place puts a permanent strain on both mountings
  • Fit new fixings and re-check them after a short run

📦 Condition

  • Genuine Volvo Penta part
  • Brand new
  • Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
