🔌 Function

Blocks radiated heat from the exhaust and turbo area, protecting nearby hoses, wiring and hands from the hottest surfaces.

  • Replace anything the missing shield has already cooked — a scorched coolant hose or loom will fail later even once the shield is back on
  • Keep the designed air gap between shield and exhaust; a shield clamped tight against a hot surface simply conducts the heat instead of blocking it
  • Inspect the exhaust side with the engine hot before it is fully reassembled
